Tyson Terrace Renovation
Support Our Students — Honor Our Leadership
There is an exciting project underway which will kick off our 175th anniversary celebration on August 31 as we become Mary Baldwin University. Tyson Terrace is undergoing a complete renovation to provide an updated and enhanced space for our students. The paving is being replaced, and the compass — a gift from the Class of 2016 — will be the centerpiece of a beautiful outdoor area featuring new furniture. The bronze compass is 30 inches in diameter and is inscribed with the Mary Baldwin seal highlighting the succession of names that have documented the evolution of our institution through the years.
Also, the popular "pub" in the Pannill Student Center is being transformed into the University Café, where a full-service Starbucks and other upscale food items will be available at greatly expanded hours. It's getting a fresh look in addition to the new menu. There is no better way to begin this 175th anniversary year as Mary Baldwin University than to upgrade our support of our students and honor both our President Emeritus, Cynthia H. Tyson, as well as the leadership and class gift of 2016. Please show your support by making a gift now!
